Bacon & Cheese Pull-Apart Bun

I'm a bacon lover. There's always bacon in my freezer. Bacon is so versatile you can basically cook just about any dishes with it. From snacks, to side dishes, to main dishes, & even desserts, bacon plays a beautiful part in these yummy food.

Came across this bacon & cheese pull-apart bread recipe on Facebook some time ago, the recipe calls for Italian loaf which I couldn't get in the nearby grocer, hence I replaced it with burger bun, works as fine. I basically adapted the concept but gave it a little twist in the ingredients I use.

The ingredients you'll need : burger bun (or any bun/ loaf you like), bacon, butter, garlic powder, shredded cheese, freshly ground pepper, sesame seeds, & dried parsley (not in the picture).

Pan fry the bacon until they are cooked, slightly crispy.
Transfer the bacon to a kitchen towel to drain, reserve the bacon grease.

Slice the bun on a zic-zac direction with a bread knife, don't slice all the way through.

Butter the aluminum foil & place the bun on top.

Drizzle the bacon grease over the bun, in between the cuts.

Mix the bacon with dried parsley, sesame seeds, & season to taste.

Stuff the bacon mixture into the bun between the cuts.

Sprinkle the shredded cheddar in between the cuts & also on top of the bun.

Sprinkle a little bit more of sesame seeds & dried parsley on top of the cheese.

Wrap the bun with the aluminum foil, & bake in the preheated oven for 10-15 minutes.

Serve immediately. Enjoy!!
