Bukit Gambang Resort City

Holiday @ Bukit Gambang Resort City

WARNING! Loooooong post ahead! :p

Over the weekend we had a short 2D1N get-away to Kuantan,  Bukit Gambang Resort City. Bukit Gambang is approximately 2 & 1/2 hours away from PJ, & 40km before reaching Kuantan.

We booked a studio deluxe room at Arabian Bay Resort, it comes with a complimentary entrance ticket to either water/ safari park,  I heard Arabian Bay is the newest block & the room rates are also the highest among all. You may check their current promotion here.

The receptionist were very attentive, we didn't have to wait long to get our room. Check in was fast

Little boy cannot wait to go to our room so we can go for water play.
I was told that all the rooms are on twin bed basis, the beds were already pushed together upon reaching

The bathroom is quite spacious too, with only standing shower, basic amenities were provided

The room is overall quite spacious & comfortable!
When we were on our way up to our room, we saw these cute animals prints shuttle bus & my little boy was very excited, he kept telling us to be faster so he could get on the tram to go for water play.

These shuttle bus would bring the guests to the water park & safari park which are only few minutes away from the resort. Their shutter services are available every 15 minutes. You may also drive, ample of parking spaces are available at the parks.

 First Day

We decided to spend our 1st day at the Safari park, because they also have night safari, which obviously is only available at night, & since we'll be checking out of the hotel the next day, we decided to come here first & only go to the water park tomorrow. More info on the safari park can be found here.

The place is huge, involves lots & lots of walking from one place to another. Part of the park is still undergoing some renovation works. There are few zones in the park, Simba Hill Plaza, Night Jungle, Foreign Village, Forest Land, Wild Savannah, & Land of Predators (featuring soon).
You will be greeted by the white lions at The Simba Hill. There's a souvenir shop here, & a fine dining restaurant that we would dine here later.

We managed to catch the animal show at Village Arena at 4pm
After the show, we visited the Foreign Village, there are Petting Kingdom, Malayan House, Village Nursery & Farm House.

Here are some animals that are residing at the Petting Zoo & Malayan House.

Next, we went to the Forest Land which consists of the Sky Garden, Bird Valley, Primate Trail, & Forest Farm. We only managed to go to the Sky Garden & Bird Valley, not sure if we have missed the other 2 or are they still undergoing renovation.

Finally, we came to our last stop at Wild Savannah, which is only accessible via the tram, about 10-15 minutes duration.

I kid you not, the park is huge, & has a lot of steep walking. Hubby & I carried a baby each in our arms & walked the distance from one place to another, we were so exhausted, but, we had lots of fun too. My elder boy was so thrilled to be here, even my baby enjoyed looking at all the animals. Now, we need to sit down to enjoy some food & drinks before we continue to the night safari.

We went back to The Simba Hill & had our dinner at the The Simba Hill Gourmet Hall. It's a beautiful place with reasonable priced menu.

Check out the view. Oh yes! The restaurant is situated just right next to where the white lions are. My boy was so excited to be sitting here & cannot stop telling us about how thrilled he was.

Here comes the food! A complimentary soup of the day was offered accompanied with an order of main course. We ordered a signature Peperoni Pizza & Lamb Racks. The food were quite delicious, probably because we were already very tired & hungry from all the walking.

After the dinner, we went to the night jungle. The place is quite small but unlike the other night safari that we have previously went to, you could actually see the animals clearer here, probably because of better lighting? I don't know. No pictures were taken here as it is not allowed to use flash to take pictures of these animals & it's quite dark for my camera to do its job.

After a brief walk at the night jungle, we went back to the Village Arena to catch the 8pm show.

The stage looks very beautiful at night. It's the story of Tarzan that they were performing tonight. The performance was filled with lot of funny & humorous scenes, actors that perform powerful stunts (I'm pretty sure these guys must be stunt men), also some bombing scenes, a very good show I must compliment. We had such a fun time watching this show.

Followed by a Fire Show performed at the Village Courtyard just outside of the Village Arena. These must be stunt men really! They must be the pro to be able to carry out such stunning & dangerous fire show. The show was amazing & incredible. The emcee in the background was very humorous, telling us jokes that only the local would understand, we had a good laugh. However, all of the performances were conducted in Bahasa Malaysia & had no translation to English, it may be a disadvantage if there are foreign visitors that don't understand BM.

We were here at the Safari Park from 4pm-930pm. We went back to the resort to rest after the Fire show. It has been a long day. We cannot wait to explore more at the water park tomorrow.

Second Day

We went to the water park in the morning after breakfast. More info on the water park can be found here.

The water park is considered quite big as well, it's like a smaller version of Sunway Lagoon minus the dry park. We had a fun time here in the park until my baby actually fell asleep on the float. Sadly not much pictures were taken at the water park because my waterproof camera has spoil during my recent trip to Port Dickson.

Here are the only 3 pictures taken using my phone before we got our stuffs kept in the locker.

Overall, this has been a great trip. Would we revisit? Hmm, yes, but probably not in the near future, we would love to be able to explore more to some new places.
