Egg Drop Tong Shui ~ 鸡蛋糖水

This, has to be by far the simplest tong shui / dessert that I have ever made. Only 3 simple ingredients & you can get this ready within 5 minutes.

Step-by-step Cooking Tutorials:

Ingredients you'll need : water, egg, & rock sugar

Place the water & rock sugar (amount as desired, you can put more if you like it very sweet, or vice versa) in a pot & simmer under medium to low heat.

Separate the egg yolk & egg white (optional).

Once the rock sugar has fully melted, turn to low heat, & pour in the egg white & break it up.

Put in the egg yolk, & continue cooking for another minute.

Serve warm or chilled.

I love the egg yolk to be 3/4 cooked in my tong shui.
