Hot Air Balloon Fiesta [2014]

It's the time of the year again. This year it would be the 6th year of Putrajaya International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta

The site layout
Do take a good look on the site layout before going, so you may get yourselves prepared & wouldn't miss out on all the exciting activities. Their itinerary of the event can be found here.

Here are some of the attractions of the fiesta. The Picnic Area, Helicopter Joy Rides, miscellaneous Shows & Performances, Night Glow, Mountain Dew Extreme Zone, Tethered Hot Air Balloon Rides, Kids Play Area, & various competitions.

We had our first visit to the Hot Air Balloon Fiesta back in the year of 2012, when my little boy was about 2 months shy of turning one year-old, he was amazed by all the colorful giant "balloons" flying up the sky, but he didn't quite get the idea of what they were yet.

Last year, unfortunately, we had to skip it, because hubby was overloaded with work, & I, being heavily pregnant, wasn't able to bring an active toddler out in the open area on my own. I'm so glad that this year, we managed to go there with a couple of friends & their little ones.

I told my little boy few days ahead where we were going to bring him, we showed him the pictures of the hot air balloon, explained to him what they were & where they would be going (flying off to the sky), he was so excited about it & was so looking forward to it.

He was so concentrate on cheering for the hot air balloon which were taking off the ground.

Finally here came Saturday.

We woke the kids at 5.45am & departed from our house. The kids were still in their pyjamas, we changed them upon reaching our destination. Both were so excited & stayed awake through the entire journey. Thankfully, none were cranky when we were there.

We stopped by for a quick breakfast, & reached the place at around 7am. The car parks were huge but were already almost fully occupied.

The crews were starting to pump up the balloons & get ready for them to take off. My little boy was so excited seeing all these beautiful & colorful giant balloons. Now that he's almost 3, he understands & enjoys this a lot better.

One by one, the hot air balloons started to take off.

By slightly over 8am, the first session of hot air balloons were off to the sky.

"Bye bye balloons", he said.

Next, we moved over to the Green Zone, here they have many fun & exciting games & activities that are suitable for kids & also adults.

Wall climbing, cost RM15

Water boat ride, cost RM10

KMX, cost RM15

Hamster Roll, cost RM10
These are only some of the games & activities that are available, they're way more than these. Be sure to check them all out if you can.

Look at the long & big bubbles that you can make, even kids can do it.

We then went to the picnic area to feast our tummies. Right here, you can rent the giant ring to play with the giant bubbles. How fun is that?

The kids had so much fun playing with this.

The location of the event is in Putrajaya, the site is in between of the Ministry of Finance building & Putrajaya Monumen Alaf Baru. Follow Precinct 2 & you'll be able to see these names on the signboard when you're nearby. You can also search for the location here.

The 6th Putrajaya International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta is happening now from 27th March 2014 until 30th March 2014. Yes, it ends by tomorrow, but it's still not too late to participate this year.

Don't miss it. Get yourselves prepared & go there right now!!
