Steamed Pomfret with Thai Fish Sauce
Ingredients :
- 1 pomfret
- Spring onion, to garnish
Thai Fish Sauce :
- 2 stalk spring onions, chopped
- 1/2 to 1 red chili, depending on how spicy you preferred (I substituted with chili powder as i didn't have chili at home)
- 3 kaffir lime leaves
- 6-7 cloves garlic (may reduce as preferred)
- 1 tablespoon lemon or lime juice
- 2 tablespoons fish sauce
- 1/2 cup fresh basil (I substituted with dried basil)
- 4 tablebspoons of virgin coconut oil
- 1 teaspoon butter
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
Directions :
- Steam the fish for 10-15 minutes (depending on size, until cooked)
- While waiting for the fish to be cooked, prepare the thai fish sauce.
- Blend all the ingredients of the thai fish sauce, then pour the sauce into a sauce pan & gently heat up.
- Pour it over the fish, garnish with spring onion & serve.
