Kids Sewing Project - Felt Animals

Today, I gave my little boy a little home activity to play with, that is, to sew a frog.

Here's the kit that comes in a package. Inside there's a plastic made needle, thread, a ready cut frog shape animals made of felt, & some art & crafts materials to make up the eyes, mouth & cheeks.
Curiosity has gotten into him, he couldn't wait to see what he can do with these stuffs.
After a brief explanation & a simple demo, he started his first ever sewing project. Look how concentrate the boy was?
There are holes punched at the edge of the felt, what the kids have to do is to sew them with the thread using the plastic made needle. How interesting?!
Okay, many times he tried to skip some holes in between, but overall he's doing a really good job.

To be honest I'm really impressed, I demonstrated on how he should pull the thread for 2 times & there he was doing it. I'm so proud of my boy!
It took him about 15-20 minutes to get the sewing part completed, all by himself (okay, with mummy's "friendly reminder" that there are holes in between that he has skipped). Imperfect but mummy is very proud!
Well done baby!!!
Now, let's stick those eyes, mouth, & cheeks, & the tummy to make it look like a frog.
Tadda!! And it's done!!! How wonderful!

This is a great activity to train the kids in a few areas, to focus, hands & eyes coordination, fine motor skills training, & also help to stimulate & increase their creative thinking. It is such a wonderful  activities to do with your toddlers at home.

Now, do you want to know where to get this? Let's hit on this link below & find all kinds of kids activity stuffs on Evil Eva's Poison.
