Misua Soup ~ with Mushrooms, Egg, & Minced Meat ~ 香菇肉碎面线汤

Misua, (also spelled as mee sua or miswa) is a very thin variety of salted noodles. It can be cooked dried or wet, & it's the usual tradition that, the birthday person would eat a bowl of misua soup on the birthday as a sign of growing a year older.

Decided to cook misua soup out of the blue & it's a hit, hubby couldn't stop telling me "hou sek!" (meaning yummy) while he was eating, & even my picky little boy likes it very much too.

The ingredients you'll need : misua, minced meat, salt, sugar, white pepper, Shaoxin wine, sesame oil, soy sauce, goji berry, sio pak choy, garlic oil (click here for homemade garlic oil recipe), mushrooms, water, & egg.
Place the mushrooms, goji berry & minced meat together with the water & bring to a boil, then turn to low heat & simmer for 10-15minutes. Add in the seasoning, adjust the flavor according to your liking.
Cook the misua with the broth. (Note : the misua cook very quickly, it takes only 1-2 minutes, be very careful so you don't overcook it, unless you like it to be on the extra soft texture).
Add in the vegetables to cook together with the misua.
Immediately, crack an egg into the broth.
Garnish the misua with more vegetables, & garlic oil. Serve immediately
My little boy enjoys the misua so much.
