Spaghetti alla Carbonara

Spaghetti alla Carbonara is a common western pasta dish that many love ordering at the restaurant, I know I do, eespecially if there's nothing else on the menu that looks appealing. You rarely go wrong with ordering one.

Its creamy cheesy texture is so deliciously alluring, it can also be cooked with various ingredients, except from the common bacon, you can cook it with ham, sausages, turkey, & many more.

This recipe is so simple & easy you probably wouldn't be interested to order at the restaurant with such price anymore.

This recipe is salt-less (except from the pot of water used to cook the spaghetti), the flavour itself comes from the Parmesan cheese. So, it's a perfect recipe to cook for your toddler as well (provided they're not dairy intolerant).

Oh, this is also one perfect dish to be cooked & store up in the freezer too. You can reheat it when you need a quick bite for lunch/ dinner & have no time to prepare for one. Perfect for a homemade frozen meal. How wonderful?!!

* Step-by-Step Cooking Tutorials *

The ingredients you'll need : spaghetti, Parmesan cheese, bacon, garlic, eggs, milk (or heavy cream), white pepper, & dried parsley (or fresh ones).
Cook spaghetti in a pot of hot boiling salted water to al-dente according to package instructions, usually around 6-7 minutes.
Beat the eggs, together with the cheese, milk, & white pepper in a bowl, set aside for later use.
Pan fry the bacon on a large skillet, until they're browned & crispy. Drain & set aside.

Using low heat with the bacon grease, saute the garlic until fragrant & browned.
Using tongs, take the spaghetti directly from the pots & place in the skillet, reserve the water.
Under low heat, return the bacon & garlic back to the skillet. Add the egg mixture, & toss the spaghetti until well combined. Add more water to reach the texture according to your wetness preferences.
