Sweet Potatoes Tong Shui ~ 蕃薯糖水

Here comes another cold & rainy afternoon. I had a late breakfast today & haven't been eating anything yet & it's already 3pm now.

I went into my kitchen to see what I have & I stumbled upon the sweet potatoes that are on the counter that were supposed to be cooked for my baby. At this very moment, I thought to myself, a bowl of hot sweet potatoes tong shui doesn't sound too bad huh!

Sorry baby, today you'll be eating pumpkin porridge instead okay?

This sweet potato tong shui is so easy to make & can be ready within 15 minutes. Only 3 simple ingredients needed. It's so simple I'm afraid there's nothing much to show you on the step-by-step cooking tutorials.

Anyway, here goes the very easy recipe~

* Step-by-Step Cooking Tutorials *

The ingredients you'll need : assorted sweet potatoes, water, & rock sugar (or castor sugar).

Place the sweet potatoes, slice ginger (optional) & water in the pot & bring to a boil. Turn to low heat, & let it simmer for 10-15 minutes, or until tender.

Add in rock sugar (or castor sugar).

Ready to serve once the sugar is fully melted.

May serve warm or chilled. Enjoy!!
