Ashton's 1 Year-Old Cake Smash Photoshoot

I did a cake smash photoshoot with Aiko few months back & it was such a fun experience, I couldn't wait to have it done with my little baby.

I've searching for a sugar-less cake recipe to bake for his cake smash photoshoot, he loves eating & I really didn't wish him to be on sugar high after the photoshoot, just in case if he eats the whole cake, well, we never know right?

So, I baked him a Banana Cinnamon Cake, & get it decorated with whipped cream (without added sugar), & top with chopped mango. Looks appetizing enough?

He was so excited & happy when he saw the cake, knowing that I wouldn't normally allow him to touch the food, he looked at me a few times to sort of "get permission" so he could "destroy" the cake.

He started touching the cake, the texture irks him a little, I could tell it from his face. But it didn't take him long enough to fully warmed up & found the fun in smashing it.

If you're OCD, I suggest that you should stop reading right here, you won't be able to tolerate what happened next. Yes, there was a huge mess!

The cake smash started to get more & more fun. Ashton found the fun in destroying the cake while he put some into his mouth. The cream was all over the place, all over his face & body.

He wasn't feeling too well this morning, so he was acting a little grumpy throughout the whole photoshoot.

Look at the mess. But this is what is needed for a cake smash, the more mess the more fun.

He showed me all kinds of expressions while he explored eating the cake. I couldn't help but laughed through these cute little faces. The innocent side of the babies. They're just so pure & so cute.

It was a very short session I had with him, it took us only 10 minutes, he was getting impatient & hates the mess all over him.

Okay, all done baby. I'm sure you would be able to skip a meal or 2 with the amount of cake you have just swallowed.

It's hard to believe that he's turning 1 year-old.

Tomorrow, you'll become a year older

But....

no matter how many birthdays come & go

You'll always be my precious little baby that never grows

The one that we'd always love

* HAPPY BIRTHDAY ASHTON *
