Heart2Heart Villa, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah

We have just came back from Kota Kinabalu 2 days ago, had a pleasure 5 days 4 nights trip together with the boys, & another friend & her family of 6.

I have been to Kota Kinabalu for many times before but they were all for work, & I haven't been exploring the tourist side of it. This time we have managed to explore quite a few places & I have so much to share, but with so little time, & I must admit that I haven't even fully unpack all our stuffs yet. Haha.

So, here, I would like to kickstart with sharing the place we stay.

Front view of Heart2Heart Villa.

My friend & I booked the flight tickets for this trip almost a year ago during the promotion period. Having a group of 10 pax to travel together is quite a huge number & we weren't having much clues as to where to rent a place to accomodate all of us, preferably together.

I chanced upon this album my friend shared on her Facebook, where she has just returned from a Kota Kinabalu trip then, the first picture that drew my attention was the picture of this Heart2Heart Villa.

It looks beautiful, classy, & huge, I then talked to my friend to get further information, then contacted the owner of the villa - Jonathan. He's a very nice & attentive person to talk to, I made full payment to secure the booking almost immediately.

Side view of Heart2Heart Villa

This is Heart 2 Heart Villa, a beautiful semi-D that is conveniently located in Taman Manikar (I typed in Taman Prestij on Waze). It is about 15 minutes drive away from the KKIA (Kota Kinabalu Internation Airport), & about 5-10 minutes drive away from the city center. It is nearby to some of the tourists spots, some famous must-go eateries, & malls, with a car. I really love the location of this villa.

The living room.

The villa has 4 rooms + 3 bathrooms. The TV was equipped with a DVD player & Astro, but limited channels.
Warning : NO Sports channel available. Haha. Well, not that I care, but I guess most men would love watching sport channels after a long day out.

Beautiful big room with a King size bed.

The master bedroom which is huge, consists of a King size bed, & a single bed which has an additional pullout bed underneath, this room can easily fit in a minimum of 6 pax. It comes with an attached bathroom as well.

Attached bathroom in the master bedroom.

The high ceiling made the room looks huge, the room's filled with sun light when the day hits dawn & it brights up the whole room in the morning. This doesn't bother us much as we're used to getting up early.

Queen bed room
Twin bed room

2 more medium sized rooms that are located upstairs, 1 with a Queen size bed, & another with twin beds. There's a shared bathroom outside the door.

Shared bathroom upstairs - standing shower are provided for all the bathrooms.

No picture of the single room downstairs though, the single room near the living room is rather small, it comes with a single bed & a tiny walkway in the room. Nevertheless the whole setting looks comfortable enough to live in.

Basic kitchen appliances are provided.

The kitchen is equipped with the basic tools for you to do some simple cooking, if you wish to. Washing machine is also available however please bring/ buy your own detergent to do the laundry.

It's cosy to chill out here in the morning/ evening.

A small BBQ pit is also provided, so you may plan a BBQ dinner with your friends & families, drink a few beers & chill out here.

A little walk way behind the villa

Beautiful lake view right in front of the villa.

The kiddos were having fun at the playground.

There's a beautiful man made lake right in front of the villa, & a play ground just 2 houses away. Nice place to walk around & let the kids hang out in the morning or evening.

Our overall experience has been pretty good, however, my friend has a little complaints though, her poor baby & her had many mosquito bites all over, even lighting up the mosquito repellent incense wasn't able to chase the mosquito away (we were not bitten, simply lucky). My friend also has a very sensitive nose to dust, she was blowing her nose miserably whenever she was in the house, the rest of us were okay. Good thing we didn't spend much time staying in the house, as we were out mostly.

The villa is decorated beautifully, unfortunately we had to keep all the stuffs away as they're not very child friendly. Overall, it wasn't too bad. Poor Jonathan has to put everything back to its original position after we left. I hope he didn't have a hard time finding them all.

To me, it was overall a very good stay & value for money for a group of 10 pax to stay in for 5 days 4 nights. Jonathan, a very friendly owner, shared with us the recommended tourist spots & makan (eateries) places, & even helped us with car rental bookings & managed to get us 2 cars at a slightly lower than market rate.

We had a pleasant experience, so Heart2Heart Villa will definitely be on the top list of the places of stay for our next Kota Kinabalu trip.
