Chinese New Year Cookies - Honey Cornflakes Cups (Honey Joys)


The honey cornflakes cups are like 1 of the must have for CNY cookies because it's every kid's favorite, & they're very easy to bake. Just a few simple ingredients & a few simple steps, & you'll have these done.

You may also add in extra ingredients other than cornflakes, like raisin or nuts too. 


 ~ Step-by-Step Tutorial ~
 
Place the butter & honey in a big pot & cook over the stove on the lowest heat.


Once the butter is fully melted & the mixture is bubbling, off the heat & stir well.

Combine well together with the cornflakes.

Scoop the cornflakes to the mini muffin cup, 

I used a small spoon so the amount of each cup is equally the same, well, almost.
This recipe yields about 50-55 mini cups.

And top with the color sprinkles/ chocolate rice/ sesame seeds.

Bake in the preheated oven for 10 minutes or until golden brown.

Store in an air tight container.

50gm unsalted butter, cubed

2 tablespoons honey
150gm cornflakes, partly crushed
To garnish : color sprinkles/ chocolate rice/ sesame seeds

Directions :

  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 10 minutes or until golden brown.

  8. Store in an air tight container, enjoy!
