Salted egg dishes are always my favorite, I think any dishes with salted egg yolk would taste good just the same as how I think bacon would be an excellent match just about everything, but normally salted egg yolk goes very well with Chinese dishes.
Salted Egg Yolk Chicken
Ingredients :
♥ 2 whole leg chicken drumsticks, chopped
- Marinate -
♥ 1/2 teaspoon salt
♥ 1 teaspoon sesame oil
♥ 1 tablespoon corn flour
♥ 1 tablespoon plain flour
♥ 1 tablespoon water
♥ Dash of pepper
- Gravy -
♥ 1 tablespoon curry leaves
♥ 2 salted egg yolk, steam & mashed
♥ 200ml milk/ evaporated milk
♥ 1/2 tablespoon brown sugar
♥ Optional : 1 teaspoon chopped chili
Directions :
- Marinate the chicken for a minimum of 30 minutes.
- Air fry the chicken in the air fryer at 200C for 20 minutes, turning once in between, or deep fry them in wok until they turn golden in color, dish up & drain.
- Heat up 1 tablespoon of oil in the wok, stir fry the salted egg yolk & curry leaves until fragrant.
- Optional : add in the chopped chili if you like a hint of spicy.
- Add in the milk/ evaporated milk together with the sugar, turns to a boil.
- Add in the chicken & stir to coat the gravy.
- It is done when the gravy starts to thicken up.
- Dish up & serve.
